Assessment Requirements

Prosafe conduct assessments in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Assessment leading to nationally recognised AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment in the vocational education and training sector must meet legislative requirements administered by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Assessment must be conducted by, or on behalf of, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) formally registered with ASQA. The RTO must have the specific units of competency and/or AQF qualifications on its scope of registration.

RTOs must provide quality training and assessment. The RTO's assessments, including recognition of prior learning, must meet the requirements of the relevant endorsed Training Package. The assessment must meet industry needs and nationally agreed standards to ensure the integrity of assessment leading to nationally recognised qualifications.

Licensing requirements

A number of occupations and job roles covered by the units of competency and qualifications in some Training Packages may be subject to state and territory licensing requirements. These requirements vary across jurisdictions.

Trainees undertaking high risk work licence courses will be required to successfully complete a serious of assessment tasks which will include a written assignment, knowledge exam and practical skills performance assessment.
